TAA’s 2026 Annual Juried Exhibition will take place at the FOUNTAIN CITY ART CENTER (FCAC, 213 Hotel Rd., Knoxville, TN 37918). This show is open to members; dues must be current prior to registration.

LOCATION: 213 Hotel Road, Knoxville, TN 37918

THEME: No specific theme is required.

LENGTH OF SHOW: OCTOBER 4 - NOVEMBER. 6, 2026

STATUS: Open to members in good standing (current participant, paid membership).

We cannot hang a piece without confirmation of paid fees. 

JURIED:  Online

FEE: $35 for 1-2 pieces; Maximum of 2 submissions per artist.

COMMISION: 30% commission paid to FCAC - Art cannot be taken down before November 9-10.

SIZE:  Must fit through a standard doorway. The venue uses a chain hanging system.
Please consider the weight of the piece - there is a 30 lb. limit.

DEADLINE: Submit by TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2026, 11:59 PM.

DROP OFF: OCTOBER 1, 2026, 9 AM - 10 PM

RECEPTION: OCTOBER 4, 2026, 2 PM - 4 PM

PICK UP:‍ ‍NOVEMBER 9 & 10, 2026, 10 AM - 6 PM.

ENTRIES: Please note all!

  • A digital photo MUST accompany your entry. JPG or PNG must be less than 5MB in size. 3D Art: Upload up to 3 images per work to adequately show all angles, if necessary.

  • Take a high-quality (squared-up) photo of the painting only (unframed painting to avoid glare) and crop it to just the image, correctly oriented (horizontal or vertical.)

  • The painting image must show only the painting; no mat, frame or background should be visible. 

  • The file should be named in the following format: 

Format:

Artist name (LastFirst_ArtworkTitle_media_size HxW_price).jpg

WarholaAndrew_SummerScene_acrylic_20h12w_250.jpg

  • Open the .jpg file and change the resolution to a minimum of 300 pixels per inch

  • Sized to a maximum of 1800 pixels on the LONGER side, saved as maximum quality not to exceed 5 MB. 

  • Email your digital photo of your entries to TAA.findout@gmail.com with your chosen category indicated, such as Landscape or Portraiture (see options below under PRIZES AND CATEGORIES)

  • By your submission and participation, you agree to allow your artwork and images of your artwork to be used by TAA or THE FOUNTAIN CITY ART CENTER for publicity purposes in print, online, and social media.

  • TAA and THE FOUNTAIN CITY ART CENTER assume no liability for loss or damage to art submitted.

PRIZES AND CATEGORIES:

There are five categories: 

  1. Portraiture, Figurative

  2. Animals

  3. Abstract, 3D

  4. Landscapes, Seascapes, Cityscapes

  5. Flowers, Still Life

Each artist will choose which one category for each specific piece. 

  • Example:  A poppy field could be Landscape or Floral but it can only be entered in one category, not both. You must choose a category.

  • Online Judging will occur beginning on September 10, 2026 and finish on September 21, 2026. Awards will be announced at the TAA Annual Juried Art Show reception on Oct. 4, 2026.

  • Awards will be given to First Place, Second Place, Third Place and Honorable Mention in each of the categories plus Best of Show and the “People’s Choice” award. 

  • The “People's Choice” will be determined by a count of votes submitted by guests in the gallery prior to the reception awards.

  • NEW PRIZE AMOUNTS FOR 2026!

    • Best of Show $1000, 

    • First Place $500 in each category, 

    • Second Place $250 in each category, 

    • Third Place $100 in each category and 

    • Honorable Mentions will receive a gift certificate.

    • The People’s Choice $100

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Art must be original with no ideas or references copied, Use of AI in any form is strictly forbidden.

  • When choosing your art submission, please be aware that this is a family/kid-friendly venue. 

  • No prints or reproduction, with photography being the only exception.

  • Art in the show can be listed for sale, 30% commission required by FCAC.

  • Art work cannot be taken down before Nov. 9-10, 2026. Buyers can pick up after the show ends.

  • All artwork must have a label on the back with artist’s name, title, medium, size, price

  • All 2D artwork must adhere to TAA guidelines. You must review the Hanging / Framing Mandatory Guidelines for TAA.pdf‍ ‍NO EXCEPTIONS. Any artwork not abiding by these practices will be declined.

  • Painted surfaces must be dry.
