Jonathon Howe – Artist
Displaying His talent for drawing at a young age, Jonathon Howe decided early on that he would pursue Art as a lifelong career. Before completing his Bachelor of Art degree at Maryville College in 2007, he was already well on his way to establishing a career, finishing several oil portrait commissions, working in tandem to paint a thirty-foot-long mural for the city courthouse, designing and completing a hundred-foot mural for a federal building, and receiving the most well attended senior solo exhibit at Maryville College’s gallery. Focusing his education on classical training in drawing and painting, he developed his own interpretation of impressionistic realism. With a refined sense of color and lighting, Jonathon’s works carry a deep timeless air while communicating a familiar experience to its viewers. His portraits show brilliant color and dramatic lighting that capture the personality and display the very soul of his subject with clarity of brush stroke. His landscapes reveal his love for the outdoors developed by his many years of hiking the trails of the Great Smoky Mountains and other national parks across the country. Working as a full-time artist for over nine years now, his landscape works are now exhibited and sold in multiple states
